How to get (and keep) sponsors for a grassroots sports club
Start with local businesses whose customers are your members. Offer them stories that feature them, not just a logo. Then show them the results at renewal.
Start close to home
Your best sponsors are already connected: a parent's business, the café the team goes to, the garage everyone uses.
Offer more than a logo
Promise a short story about them during the season: why they back the club, what they do in town. It costs you nothing and it's worth more to them than a shirt badge.
Keep proof
Note your followers when they sign up and track the posts that featured them. At renewal, send them a one-page summary.
Say thank you in public
A thank-you post at the end of the season is the easiest renewal pitch you'll ever make.
